This is my first Blog Post ever – Thank you for taking the time to read what I am sharing.
My goal and commitment: I will always post whatever is placed upon my heart to share. It may be short, long, poems I’ve written, stories of my life, scripture, pictures, videos or all of the above. Ha!
So, do you know that you are fearfully and wonderfully made?
Psalm 139:14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.
If you are reading this today, my prayer is that it will be a simple reminder of just how very special you are. I know in my life, and maybe you have felt the same way at times that you can forget just how unique you are. Never forget that everyone has a unique set of fingerprints; no two people have the same. Your DNA is unique to only YOU. Let that truly resonate with you and soak in. Have you? Well, then there is NO excuse ever to doubt that you’re not special.
But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.
I am not sure if it is something from your childhood, early adult years or a certain event or possibly a person that you allowed to put those seeds of doubt there that you are not beyond amazing. It has taken me way too many years to get to the point to start seeing myself the way God created me. I am trying to embrace ME instead of focusing on all the flaws that I tend to see.
I challenge you to start looking at yourself differently. Do you cry easily, do you have a tender heart, and are you an empathetic person? Embrace that you have the gift of mercy and compassion. If you love helping people and seeing them happy – embrace that you have a servants heart and also realize that the world needs more of those type of people in it.
Just remember if we are always striving for perfection, we will always be disappointed. In other words be happy with you, your life, your situation, your imperfections, your circumstances right now at this very moment. Start praising him and giving him glory for what you do have, not for what you don’t or dwelling on how you think things could or should be in your eyes.
Never forget the Cross has made you FLAWLESS!
I am posting an amazing MercyMe video with this, and I ask that during some quiet time whenever that may be for you to watch this (I mean “really” watch this – NO distractions). Feel free to share your thoughts on here, in a journal or just between you and God, but let these words resonate a message that will minister to you/your soul.
God Bless You All
